Tim Ferriss

Tim Ferriss on money and goals

My notes were not created to be public… so I really don’t know which interview with Tim connects with this one. If you have a suggestion, I would be glad to hear it in the comments. Thank you!

  • don’t be afraid to ask for some more money, worst case you will get a no, best case you will make money
  • don’t worry, ask for a better price, ask for what you want, you won’t just get it
  • don’t start with a shitty situation and think you can do better – this applies in love, business, work etc.
  • start with something good that you can make even better
  • to get what you want you practice one thing over and over until you get amazing at it
  • outpractice everyone, outhustle them
  • there are no shortcuts, good stuff is hard to get
  • you have to earn your goals
  • everybody wants, but not everybody gets, because not everybody is willing to do the things required to get what you want
  • learn to stay in your three foot world when you are under pressure
  • everybody began sometimes and everybody freezes, so don’t worry that sometimes it happens to you too
  • focus on what you can affect and nothing else
  • focus on taking one more step towards your goal. Don’t overthink it or you will freeze.
  • every wasted minute has an effect on your action
  • good relationships are really important, you will get anything you want from them
  • don’t waste time on stupid things
  • trust people and they will trust you back. Help them become more and they will rise to your expectations.
  • make decisions, hard decisions, daily
  • get back on the horse, as hard as it may seem, it is easier that to stay and think of your loss
  • have a clear goal that will get your dopamine going
